I know I’ve been a Movember-fueled blogging machine of late, but hey, I’m punching the keys for a cause I’m passionate about that’s also a fun way to raise some cash to combat cancer. Plus, I’m a bit of a facial hair enthusiast… so, why not use my facial talents for good, right? With great facial hair comes great responsibility.

Dark Horse bolsters the ranks of Mammoth-Stache!
Big developments took place in the field of moustaches this week, as four of my co-workers from Dark Horse Comics decided to join the Movember campaign as members of Team Mammoth-Stache! Selflessly choosing to sacrifice their upper lips to the cause for 30 days this Movember, I’m thrilled that we’re more than a month away and these gentlemen have already taken the plunge into cancer-fighting by way of facial hair!

Movember: The Basics
The fine folks at the Movember Foundation were kind enough to send me some informative documents about the charitable event. As I’m still searching for teammates and looking for donations, I thought I’d post one of them here. This one-sheet breaks out all basic information about Movember. Please, take a look and think about participating this year!

Calling all moustache-lovin’ men and women! I need you for Movember 2010!
As sweater weather approaches on a wisp of crisp Fall air and the leaves begin to turn their myriad of Autumn colors, my thoughts turn to moustaches. Glorious, glorious moustaches! Though it’s only late September and all October stands between us and the eleventh month, Movember has already taken up residence in the forefront of my mind. It’s with these thoughts of hairy upper lips and piles of cash set aside to help wage war upon cancer that I come to you all with a proposition…
I want you! Yes, you! I want you to join me in changing the face of men’s health this Movember!

September, right?!
Ain’t no use hiding it, blogging has fallen completely by the wayside his month. Between turning 26, my parents visiting Jessi and me in Portland for the first time, doing some serious homebrewing, receiving a little bit of money to invest in an HDTV—not to mention the corresponding research (Read: E-Mailing and calling the resourceful Reshad Staitieh.) involved in such a purchase—and having to rearrange/redecorate our living room accordingly, it’s been a very busy past two weeks. To the few of you who stop by this blog to see what I’m rambling about, I apologize for the lack of posting. It happens. What can I say? Life, it’s crazy, right?!
(Ahoy, if you haven’t read issue #37 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8, go no further! Thar’ be spoilers ahead, me hearties! Be warned!)

The Many Faces of Finn gets its own fan art!
Remember, like a million years ago, when I slapped together a bunch of Adventure Time art into a wallpaper I called “The Many Faces of Finn?” To date, that post has scored my blog more hits than any other blog entry I’ve done here at Enemy of Peanuts. In short, that little wallpaper I whipped up is kinda popular on the internets. So popular, in fact, that it’s just received its own bit of fan art at the Adventure Time tumblr!

Just say “Hm” to facehuggers!
Much like the most excellent issues of Star Wars Tales I recently came across, my office area move and the “free table” in the Dark Horse break room have been great resources for finding interesting older comics from my employer. So, as I read through these gems—issues of Dark Horse Presents, Star Wars comics and Dark Horse crossovers—I figured I’d scan in memorable comics moments as I come across them. A week ago, I was reading the first issue of Superman/Aliens II: God War written by Chuck Dixon, penciled by Jon Bogdanove with Kevin Nowlan on inks and Dave Stewart on colors, when I stumbled across this ridiculously badass moment sure to please fanboys who aren’t already familiar with it—and act as an enjoyable refresher to those who have. So, please enjoy Darkseid of Apokolips’ encounter with an Alien facehugger!

“Star Wars Tales” is amazing!
Sometimes you stumble across a comic that’s so rad it makes you feel intense shame for not previously being aware of its existence and totally in love with it. Today, I found that Star Wars Tales is one of those comics.
