This has been linked around quite a bit in the comics community, but if you haven’t checked out Neill Cameron’s “Neill’s A-Z of Awesomeness” you are truly missing out.

Get your scroll on.
I’ve been meaning to do a big post about my favorite webcomics and my highest recommendations in that arena for a while, but haven’t gotten around to it yet (Sorry!). Still, after seeing today’s Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal by Zach Weiner, I had to say something about how much I love his comic strip.

Hosting Wizard World Philly’s “Battlestar Galactica” panel: The greatest nerd moment of my life.
This past Saturday at Wizard World Philadelphia, I hosted the “Battlestar Galactica” panel featuring Edward James Olmos (Admiral William Adama), Michael Hogan (Colonel Saul Tigh), Nicki Clyne (Crewman Specialist Cally Henderson) and Luciana Carro (Captain Louanne ‘Kat’ Katraine)—easily the highlight of my entire career at Wizard and the greatest nerd moment of my life.
I’ve been bubbling with excitement over all the little intricacies and amazing moments of the hour I sat on stage with the foursome of Galactica crew members, and figured I’d sit down and write my official documentation of this momentous story. I managed not to completely freak out in a fanboy fit while hosting, so I think I’ve earned the right to gush a little bit here—and gush I shall.
Also, there will be some “BSG” plot spoilers ahead, as we talked about the series finale and the upcoming DVD “The Plan,” so be forewarned.

YOU write the comic strip!
I drew this puppy last weekend with a rough joke in mind, but I thought this might be a fun opportunity for some regular-reader involvement!

Enemy of Peanuts at MoCCA 2010?
Greetings loyal blog-readers!
I was having a conversation with Rowdy Schoolyard‘s Dave Paggi (the creator of Pancake Lover) and started getting really excited about the prospect of teaming up for a table at next year’s MoCCA Festival. However, as someone who tends to get extremely excited about things—in both good and bad ways—I thought putting a few things out here would (A) help me get some good feedback from a varied audience about how to make this cool plan a successful reality and (B) put my commitment to this idea “on paper” in the blogosphere, thus making it all the more important I follow through on it.

“Makin’ Bacon Naked” T-Shirt: Round Three
If you haven’t been keeping up, my brother Dan and our buddy, his volleyball teammate, Steve commissioned me to doodle up something for their V-Ball team’s t-shirt. The team name? “Makin’ Bacon Naked.” I took the challenge (you can see the earlier stages of the process here and here) and it’s been a blast so far. Now, let’s delve into part three of the process.

Today was a soggy, wet day.
Today was one of those disgustingly rainy days that would have been perfect if I could have curled up and slept in, but alas, I must work for a living and even though I have been nursing a nasty illness lately, you really can’t afford two sick days nowadays…so, I got my coat on, pulled my hat down and my collar up and made for the train station. Safe to say, it was a bit miserable.
