Ok, so I haven’t been blogging that much of late. But, it’s not because I don’t totally love all you readers and have plenty of super rad stuff to say. The problem is simple: I have been extremely busy with tons of real life stuff away from the interwebs. Like…

Infamous Past Jim Gibbons Decisions: Hulk Hogan haircut
Back in 2004 I decided to bleach my hair blonde, sport a fu manchu and shave some male pattern baldness into my head. At the time, this seemed like a pretty hilarious idea, and whether it was or not, here’s how it all went down…

A few ‘Few Line Reviews’
Hey folks, I’ve trucked through a fair share of comics this week (my new daily train ride has certainly helped me allot more time to reading) and even though I’m only halfway through all the books I want to read, I’m posting up these initial brief reviews. I’m hitting the DMV (or MVC, as it’s oddly called in New Jersey) tomorrow and then picking up my broseph from the airport for a weekend of New York City fun, so if I do get through the rest of those books, I likely won’t have time for reaction-reviews.
So, please enjoy this smattering.

Thor: The Final Frontier!
Over the weekend, news dropped that Chris Hemsworth (who played George Kirk, James T.’s daddy, in “Star Trek”) will be playing Thor in the upcoming film based on Marvel’s Asgardian hero.
Round Howard blogger Josh Wigler and I just had a fun and nerdy conversation about the casting which I’m posting here for the sake of putting it into the public forum. Check it out and then weigh in with a comment at the end of the post!

Reviews of Brews: A random sampling
Last week, I wrote up a bunch of notes on four beers I had grabbed for review. Then I wrote up some short, rough recaps on the drinking experiences. Put simply, it’s been an extremely busy week and I haven’t had a chance to take a look at these, but I’ve whipped them into what I think is a palatable reading experience that’ll hopefully be helpful to fellow beer-drinkers. So, read on, whet your appetite, then head home and have a beer.

A barbaric idea
I came up with this fella on the subway home from work on Friday and finally had a chance to get him down on paper today. Essentially a spoof of a classic newspaper strip, he’s cute, cuddly and carries a big club… He’s Hagrrrr the Adorable: Baby Barbarian!

EoP meets Pancake Lover
I was reading a lot about webcomics on Friday at work and doodled this little strip while editing documents. In the strip, I run into Dave Paggi’s Pancake Lover—who you can see more of over at Rowdy Schoolyard—and have a webcomic encounter with him. This one’s done in amazing ballpoint pen on a super cool legal notepad.

Reaction-length comic book reviews!
Last week’s “Few Line Reviews” didn’t quite make three pages but I have a butt-ton of new reviews to this week’s (5/13/2009) comics right here.
There’s a few more books I intend to read this week, but I likely won’t have tome for quick hit reviews like this, so please enjoy these and keep checking EoP for more groovy posts!

‘Enemy of Peanuts: The Webcomic’ Part 3—The battle is met!
Well, it’s late, but here it is: this week’s Enemy of Peanuts: The Webcomic installment!
I won’t lie, I think this may be my worst effort so far and was drawn after drinking a full bottle of wine, but there is an energy to it that I liked. So, I figured I would post it and keep the strip going, and at the worst I can always redo this panel at a future date.
Anyway, enough of my self deprecation…Please, enjoy the strip!

24 hours off the internet?!
Yes, I left the interwebs behind for a full day and now I’m back.
