Back in July, Post-It Note artist extraordinaire Larry Joe Mitchell became the first person ever to draw a piece of Enemy of Peanuts fan art. I missed meeting up with Mr. Mitchell at Chicago Comic Con to receive the Post-It, but I think that turned out for the best. You see, if I had met him there, I would have never gotten another piece of EoP fan art on the envelope that contained the first Post-It!

Taking the PoP! Quiz
Way back at Chicago Comic-Con, the good fellows from Panels On Page asked me to step in front of the camera and complete their PoP! Quiz. Hosted by mic master Jason Kerouac, I fielded a series of semi-ridiculous questions about comics and the convention while attempting to be professional and hilarious in my haggard state at the end of the weekend. Though only a few of my responses made the final cut, it was a blast to participate and even more exciting to see it cut together all pretty-lookin’ thanks to my man Jason “K-Nice” Knize.

Enemy of Peanuts’ PoP! video plug
At Chicago Comic-Con, the fellas from Panels On Pages were videoing in full effect and waved me down for an interview at the end of the con. Though—I’m told—parts of the “PoP! Quiz” I took will air in a later video, the PoP!stars had me film a quick plug for their site, Wizard and EnemyOfPeanuts.com that they used in their recent PoP! Invasion video.

Billy Dee and Me: Hosting Lando Calrissian’s Chicago Comic-Con panel.
It’s been a full week since Chicago Comic-Con, but it’s taken me about that long to fully recover from all the wedding and convention festivities of the past weekend. Now that my brain is actually functioning again, I figured I’d put up a short series of posts relating some of my best stories from that manic five day funfest—and what better place to start than Lando Calrissian himself, Billy Dee Williams!

Jim Gibbons on Internet TV!
Though this past weekend was maddeningly crazy/busy, it wasn’t without some completely great and memorable moments. One of those moments was being interviewed for the UFragTV live stream from Chicago Comic-Con. The interview was a bit longer, but this is the only bit I can find over at http://ufragtv.com…

So….phew!…busy, busy week…
I’m sitting in Chicago’s O’Hare airport waiting for a flight back to New Jersey after one of the most madcap weekends of my entire life. From one heckuva wedding in Wisconsin to Chicago Comic-Con and everything in between, it has been wildly hectic but extremely fun and truly great! I’ll put up plenty of recaps and storytelling posts about all the insanity when I have a chance, but for now…I leave you with this…
