Good news, peoples of the internets! Today I began a brand new job that will help me achieve a goal I set for myself when I graduated college back in 2007. My goal was to one day make comic books. I’ve written about comics for a living, promoted comics for a living and, as of today, my new gig as an Assistant Editor at Dark Horse Comics means I am now getting paid to make comics. The Shave
It’s finally Movember 1st and I just shaved. Jessi was kind enough to document the grooming process with a series of photographs. Please enjoy the progression from beard to bald-face…

Happy Halloween/Movember Eve!
Happy Halloween, boys and ghouls!
In only a few hours, I’ll be shaving off my beard to begin Movember hair-free and facially smooth. In preparation, I’ve spent the weekend binging on candy, good food, great beer and hanging out with mustachioed ladies…

September, right?!
Ain’t no use hiding it, blogging has fallen completely by the wayside his month. Between turning 26, my parents visiting Jessi and me in Portland for the first time, doing some serious homebrewing, receiving a little bit of money to invest in an HDTV—not to mention the corresponding research (Read: E-Mailing and calling the resourceful Reshad Staitieh.) involved in such a purchase—and having to rearrange/redecorate our living room accordingly, it’s been a very busy past two weeks. To the few of you who stop by this blog to see what I’m rambling about, I apologize for the lack of posting. It happens. What can I say? Life, it’s crazy, right?!
(Ahoy, if you haven’t read issue #37 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8, go no further! Thar’ be spoilers ahead, me hearties! Be warned!)

Two years with the Outlaw Jessi James
Over the past two years, I’ve worked two different full-time jobs, dabbled in the field of freelance journalism and collected unemployment. In those same two years, I’ve lived in three different states, pulled a U-Haul from coast to coast, raised over $1,200 with a friend and a moustache to help fight men’s cancer and shook hands with Edward James Olmos. It’s been a crazy period of my life to say the least. Thankfully, I’ve been lucky enough to have had one amazing and gorgeous constant to carry me through it all: my beautiful girlfriend Jessi.

Good tidings!
Though this blog over the past month has been almost entirely dedicated to moustaches, their greatness and why they’re an incredibly motivating reason to donate money to help combat men’s cancer, there actually has been a bit more than just facial hair pushing my life forward of late.

Movember Moustache Photo Diary: Day 12
Another extraordinarily long day has passed (more on that soonish), but one must always find time to photograph his moustache!

Movember Moustache Photo Diary: Day 1
Hey folks! Welcome to the Movember Moustache Photo Diary for “The Venerable Gentlemen…From Space!” My old buddy Matthew Lubicky and I have teamed up to grow moustaches all month long to help raise funds to combat testicular and prostate cancer while raising awareness about men’s health.

I once went to All Points West
About a month ago, Jessi and I went to the sloppy wet mess of a music festival that was this year’s All Points West. While uploading more recent pictures from my camera, I stumbled upon my few APW photos and figured an extremely delayed posting would still be fun. Hopefully, by post’s end, you’ll agree with me.

Introducing ‘All Day Pizza Buffet’
Here’s the deal…
I’ve been extremely busy over the past few weeks, which is usually a good things—especially when it is the “fun busy” that I’ve been—but it has really cut back on mt drawing time. My busy-ness had me playing around with the idea of picking up a simple and small drawing project I could focus on in my spare time. Combine that with recently discovering Post-it Note Stories and being completely blown away by the expressive simplicity used to tell really fun little stories on little yellow squares and Drawn!: The illustration & Cartooning Blog linking artist Ryan Pequin’s simple—and simply awesome—five-minute comics (See those now at www.threewordphrase.com), then toss in a suggestion by my girlfriend about how much time I could spend drawing if I utilized my commute time for doodling…
And Bam! All Day Pizza Buffet was—kind of—born!
